Pakistan Cricket Board

Dear Mr. Prime Minister and Patron in Chief Pakistan Cricket Board.

Saturday, 21 February, 2015 will be remembered in the annals of the history as the day when last nail was hammered in the coffin of the Pakistan cricket, right under your patron-ship of the PCB.

As compared to the strong Indian cricket team, which defeated us by 76 runs, on 21 February, 2015 a lower ranked West Indian cricket team, beat Pakistan by a record and huge margin of 150 runs. We batted 47 overs vs India; and only 39 overs vs the West Indian team.

Mr. Prime Minister, more than the defeat, the sudden dip of standards in the batting, bowling and fielding departments of our team, against an ordinary (West Indies) team (which was defeated in our World Cup round match a few days ago by Ireland, a non Test playing nation) is to say in very mild words, just horribly alarming.

However, still I believe that it is NOT our players who are responsible for the World Cup debacles. Along-with the chairman PCB and his top advisors/directors and all members of the BOG PCB, the major responsibility of this rotten state of affair lies with the tour management committee, consisting of the Head Coach, Chief Selector, Manager and the Captain.

At the moment, the PCB leadership has converted the Pakistani cricket team into a rudderless ship with a big hole in its hull, which is sinking deeper with every passing moment or match.

This decline was bound to happen with a team whose entire management leadership in Pakistan and Australia is, to say the least, not only nincompoop and throughly incompetent, but also not fit and capable, to lead the national team, to any international level competition.

However, we should never forget the fact that Pakistan has immense cricketing talent of boys and girls, which if properly harnessed and given the right guidance, with policy of MERIT and MERIT alone, can easily win all the international competitions.

The nation earnestly appeals to the cricketer (which fact you also told to the Indian PM during his recent telephonic conversation with you) Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, to kindly reconcile with the fact that our cricket team’s performances have touched the lowest ebb ever; and the fact that the experiment of handing over (about two years ago) the reigns of the PCB to Mr. Najam Sethi and his associates, has not only back fired, but has resulted in irreparable damage to the country’s image, reputation and prestige, that too in an unprecedented manner.

As such, kindly order immediate dissolution of the PCB and its entire governing board by replacing it with someone, who has the ability and capacity to re-build (within 60 days) a new PCB, which should be a world class professional organisation, second to none in the ICC.

Sir, your this action will be totally in line with the decisions of sacking all the top bureaucrats, responsible for the petroleum shortage, in the province of Punjab in January 2015; and your swift handling of a serious crisis, was very well received by the public at large.

As far as our cricket team is concerned, it is again reiterated that a professionally knowable, impeccably honest, highly respected and a hard task master senior cricketer from amongst M/s Wasim Bari, Javed Miandad, Mohsin Hasan Khan, Abdul Qadir or Aamir Suhail may be IMMEDIATELY sent to Australia, as DG PCB, with FULL administrative and cricketing decision making powers, to ensure that our team must NOT tamely surrender in the next matches and put up a good fight, so as to MUST reach, as a first step, to the quarter-final stage; and from there, gradually move up-wards.

Mr. Prime Minister, action is better than inaction; and now when the water level has crossed over the heads, the whole nation is looking towards your decisive move, to stem the rot from the Pakistan cricket, by taking strict and swift action (even if an ad-hoc is to be imposed for a short time) without any consideration of personal or party likes or dislikes; which will be obviously in the interest of your own public image: and highly enhance your stature, as a true statesman, produced by the country, after a long time.

Best wishes and all the prayers for success, in your endeavours to take out Pakistan, from crisis after crisis, in every field of life.

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

Audio status

Facebook has introduced many new features during 2013 which includes embedding Facebook posts, timeline user interface updates and also audio messaging by using Facebook app or messenger on Android or iOS but yet there is no such option on PC Facebook by which we can easily post audio status updates. However today, while checking chrome store i have found a app by which we can record our voice and post audio status on Facebook and we can also send audio messages by PC with this extension.

  • First of all you need to install Talk and Comment extension in your chrome browser.

Install Talk and Comment Extension

  • So after installing extension a new tab will open asking for permission to use your microphone. In case a new tab does not open ,click on the small MIC icon you see near the address bar of your browser’s window, followed by options on the bottom of that small window.

That Browser window will ask you for permission of using your microphone.Simply give access to extension by clicking on Allow button.

After giving access to your microphone simply visit Facebook and update your audio status. There you would see small MIC icon,Simply press that to record your voice ,as you would have done on messenger or on Whatsapp to record your voice. After you have recorded your voice release that icon to upload audio note. Then once the uploading is finished you will get a link to the uploaded audio note. Now just press enter to post your status and your post will get transformed into a player .You can click on the play button to listen your recorded audio.

So this was all about this Talk and Comment Extension which allows us to post audio status as well as send audio messages. So guys enjoy posting audio status on facebook and be the first one to post audio status rather than those old written posts :P .But if you want your all friends to have player ,do share this extension with them and ask them to install this extension to directly play the audio status.

India has successfully test-fired a new domestically developed nuclear-capable surface-to-surface missile with a range of 350 kilometers (nearly 220 miles) in the country’s eastern state of Odisha.

The Prithvi-II (Earth-II) missile blasted off from a mobile launcher at the small sea resort of Chandipur, located about 1,260 kilometers (782 miles) southeast of the capital, New Delhi, at around 9:20 a.m. local time (0350 GMT) on Thursday.

“The trial of the missile conducted by the Strategic Force Command (SFC) was fully successful,” said the Integrated Test Range (ITR)’s Director MVKV Prasad.

“The missile trajectory was tracked by DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) radars, electro-optical tracking systems and telemetry stations located along the coast of Odisha,” an Indian military sources said on condition of anonymity.

The single-stage Prithvi-II is powered by liquid propulsion twin engines, and is equipped with an advanced inertial navigation system. The missile is capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 kilograms of warheads.

Last month, India tested its longest-range nuclear-capable ballistic missile with the capacity to strike China and Europe and mounted on a truck, which gives it greater mobility.

The three-stage and solid propellant Agni-V (Fire-V) missile was launched at Wheeler Island in the Bay of Bengal, off India’s eastern coast, on January 31. The 17-meter-long intercontinental ballistic missile has a range of more than 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles).

India has routinely carried out missile tests since it first demonstrated its nuclear weapons capability in 1998. India has also been engaged in an arms race with its neighbor Pakistan since the partition of the two countries in 1947.

Both neighbors have refused to sign the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and other international regulatory pacts that restrict developing or testing nuclear weapons.

India considers the NPT as discriminatory, while Pakistan has indicated that it will not join the international treaty until its neighbor does.

bus service

NEW DELHI/KATHMANDU: India and Nepal launched the first ever bus service between the two countries on Tuesday afternoon. To begin with daily buses will ply between Delhi and Kathmandu. Later, there will be similar buses which will ply on two other routes – Delhi-Pokhara and Varanasi- Kathmandu.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart Sushil Koirala flagged off the Kathmandu-Delhi bus service called Pashupatinath Express from Kathmandu, road transport minister Nitin Gadkari and tourism minister Mahesh Sharma launched the first bus from Delhi.

Before the launch, both PMs hopped onto the bus and interacted with travellers of the bus, which was decorated with streamers, balloons and flowers. In Delhi, the first bus carrying 14 passengers and three personnel from Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB) started from Ambedkar stadium bus terminus.

Officials of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), which will run buses from Delhi, said that the total journey will take around 30 hours and there will be four stops. “The route will be Delhi-Lucknow (via Yamuna Expressway)-Gorakhpur-Sanauli-Bhairahawa before terminating at Swaymbhu terminal in Kathmandu. There will be four halts enroute. We are getting good response,” said a government official.

Every traveller has to carry identity proof to take the bus to Nepal or to reach Delhi. TOI on November 2 had first reported the bus service between the two countries.

Both Gadkari and Sharma said that the launch of the bus service will strengthen relations with Nepal since both countries have strong historic and cultural ties. “This has been an outcome of PM Narendra Modi’s initiative to make relations with Nepal much stronger and his willingness to contribute to the progress of Nepal,” Gadkari added.

Delhi Lt Governor said DTC running this luxury bus service has huge significance after having the honour of running similar bus services between Delhi and Lahore.

The bus service is touted as a major boost in terms of trade and tourism.

The Cabinet has approved the signing of a bilateral agreement for the regulation of passenger traffic between India and Nepal on the sidelines of the SAARC Summit in Kathmandu on November 26-27.
