A bitter Russain spell of cold has claimed 123 lives in 10 days as temperatures dropped to minus 30 degrees in Russia, a country known to be used to notoriously drastic weather.

A vast amount of citizens have been hospitalized to be treated with hypothermia, a condition of having a dangerously low body temperature and frostbite which causes injury to body tissues often resulting in gangrene.
