Finally, Al-Haj Automotive Group has increased the price of Proton Saga and Proton X70 in Pakistan due to the current economic crisis and fluctuations in the rate of Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar (USD to PKR), increased freight charges and global supply chain disruption.
The notification added that constraints on obtaining Letter of Credit (LC) from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for the import of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits has also created increased challenges for the company. “Therefore, we are compelled to increase the prices with effects from August 4, 2022,” the company said.

The price of Proton Saga M/T is Rs. 2,824,000, compared the old rate of Rs. 2,579,000 after an increase of Rs. 245,000, while the price of Proton Saga A/T is Rs. 2,999,000 compared the old rate of Rs. 2,729,000 with an increase of Rs. 270,000. However, the Proton Saga ACE saw the highest increase of Rs. 300,000, bringing the new price to Rs. 3,149,000 from the old rate of Rs. 2,849,000.

The price of Proton X70 Executive Premium AWD has been increased to Rs. 6,850,000 after hike of Rs. 800,000 from the old rate of Rs. 6,050,000, while price of Proton Saga X70 Premium FWD is now Rs. 7,300,000 after an increase of Rs. 900,000 from the old price of Rs. 6,400,000.
