AirSial to make first flight in December

Pakistan’s newest private carrier, AirSial is expected to make first flight in December after completing the mandatory fleet size required to start operations.

The airline has received its first aircraft, the Airbus A320, which landed at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Sunday afternoon after arriving from the US.

AirSial is expected to receive two more deliveries of aircraft after which is hopes to start operations in major cities by the end of 2020 according to the airline’s management.

The private carrier will start flights between Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot and Peshawar and gradually expanding its operations to other smaller cities as well subject to approval from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

According to sources, the Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate the operations of the airlines by the end of December after its earlier launch in May which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

AirSial is a project of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry which also constructed the city’s airport which remains the country’s first and only privately owned airport.
