The Government of Pakistan, Finance Division, has increased the rate of return on Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) from 23rd January 2023.
According to details, the rate of return for deposits in Pakistani Rupee (PKR) has seen the highest revision taking the revised rate up to 15.25% after an increase of 5.25%, depending on the tenor.
Meanwhile, other currencies like US Dollar (USD) has seen an increase in the rate of return of up to 1.5%, and Great Britain Pound (GBP) up to 1.25%.
However, Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) have seen a decline in the rate of return for Euro (EUR) deposits for 3-month (0.75%), 6-month (0.50%), and 1-year (0.25%) tenor, while 3-year and 5-year deposits in the currency will get an increase of 1.00% and 0.75%, respectively.
