The Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has announced the dates for summer vacations for all public and private schools in the province.
According to the schedule, the summer vacations for primary schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will begin on June 1 and last until August 31. This long break is to protect students from the intense summer heat.
In the colder upper districts (winter zone) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the summer holidays will start a bit later, from July 1 to August 31, 2024.
This different timing considers the cooler weather in the upper districts, providing a vacation period that better fits their local climate.
The Punjab and Sindh Governments have already announced summer vacations to protect students from rising temperatures and heatwave-like conditions. In Punjab, the summer break will commence from May 25 and conclude on August 14, while Sindh will observe summer holidays from June 1 till July 31.
