The USD to PKR (Pakistani Rupee to US Dollar) open market rate today (20 January 2023) is Rs. 265 depending on the forex exchange firm or bank. However, there may be slight variations in the rate for different banks and forex exchange companies.
This in the open market rate being charged when buying US Dollar (USD), while the open market selling rate for USD to PKR is being charged as per the interbank rate provided by the State Bank of Pakistan.
The open market rate for USD to PKR (Dollar Price in Pakistan) of Rs. 265 today (20 January 2023) is being charged by most banks or forex exchange companies when buying US Dollar (USD) in exchange for Pakistani Rupee (PKR) across the country. However, there may be slight variations in the rate for different banks and forex exchange companies.
It is pertinent to mention that most inward remittances are being credited to customers as per the interbank rate provided by SBP, while all international transactions are being settled by banks as per the open market USD to PKR rate.
Furthermore, it must be noted that open market rate for USD to PKR is volatile and not the same for all banks and forex exchange companies. Based on our research, some banks are charging lower open market rate for USD at the time of performing international transaction, while others are charging a much higher open market Dollar rate in Pakistan.
