Punjab Education Foundation Imposes Ban on Summer Classes

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) announced on Saturday that its partner schools are banned from holding classes during the summer vacation period, which began on May 25.

This decision was made due to the extremely high temperatures. PEF Deputy Managing Director emphasized that the safety of children in the intense heat is a top priority for the Foundation.

He warned that strict action would be taken against any school owners who organize summer camps during this period.

PEF manages 7,500 partner schools across Punjab, with over 200 located in Lahore.

Punjab announced early summer vacations due to rising temperatures and heatwave-like conditions across the country. The holidays will conclude on August 14 and students will return to schools on August 15.

Meanwhile, the Government of Sindh decided against an early summer break, with holidays scheduled to commence on June 1.
