The Punjab Government on Thursday announced a two-month long summer vacations for all public and private schools across the province. According to the notification, the summer vacation in Punjab will begin start from 1st June 2022 and end on 31st July 2022.
“It is hereby notified that all Public and Private Schools throughout Punjab shall remain closed w.e.f 1st June, 2022 to 31st July, 2022 for summer vacations.” read the notification issued by the School Education Department. Furthermore, the notification instructed the Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) and the concerned heads to manage the distribution of homework and books to the students during the summer holidays.

Moreover, the notification added that District Registering Authority may advise the private schools to reduce school timings until 11:00 am from 27th May 2022 to 31st May 2022 with all necessary precautionary measures to protect the children from the heatwave.
