RAWALPINDI: All educational institutions which include public and private universities, colleges and schools in Rawalpindi will remain closed on 8th October 2020 according to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Office.
According to the notification, all educational institutions in Rawalpindi will remain closed on 8th October 2020 within the Municipal limit of Tehsil Rawalpindi excluding Cantonment areas.
The reason behind the closure of schools in Rawalpindi is the Chelum procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The following is the copy of the notification:
Schools have also been closed in District Lahore on the occasion of the “Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Gunj Baksh (RA)” while educational institutions have been closed in Mianwali on account of the Chelum processions.
