LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) is set to announce the results for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 by Sunday, September 29, according to a university spokesperson.
The MDCAT, conducted by UHS for admission into medical and dental colleges in Punjab, saw a total of 58,379 candidates participating, including 40,363 girls and 18,016 boys. The results will be accessible on the official UHS website, which has confirmed that the results will be released within one week of the examination date.
The MDCAT is administered by provincial admitting universities under the supervision of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). This year, the examination was held at 26 centers across 12 major cities in Punjab, including Lahore, and lasted for three and a half hours.
In Lahore alone, 11,735 female and 4,655 male candidates took the test at various venues, including COMSATS University, Punjab University Examination Hall, and Lahore College for Women University, among others.
In Punjab, 16 public sector medical colleges offer a total of 3,376 MBBS seats, while three public dental colleges provide 240 BDS seats. As students await their results, the announcement is expected to significantly impact their future educational paths in the medical field.
