The hypnotic and remarkably talented British actress, Emilia Clarke is all arranged to step foot in the venerable Marvel Cinematic Universe with the production’s forthcoming original fantasy ‘Secret Invasion.’ The title is being developed for Marvel’s Disney Plus listings, and will spin off 2019’s Captain Marvel movie.
Emilia Clarke is a British acting veteran, recognized all over the globe for portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen, one of the headliners in the megahit television fantasy Game of Thrones. The hard-hitting character had served to be Emilia’s breakthrough role, and earned the actress both national and international accolades, including four Emmy awards nominations.
Emilia Clarke made her Broadway debut as Holly Golightly in the 2013’s ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, and played Nina in a West End production of The Seagull that was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Her film roles include Sarah Connor in the science fiction film Terminator Genisys, Qi’ra in the Star Wars film Solo: A Star Wars Story and the highly renowned romances named ‘Me before You’ and ‘Last Christmas’. In 2019, Time magazine named Emilia Clarke as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Reportedly, the GoT’s fame Emilia Clarke is geared up to join the biggest and the greatest Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the upcoming original series ‘Secret Invasion’ for Disney Plus. Though, Emilia’s character is still under wraps, and the official statement is yet to be declared by both, the Marvel Studios and the ‘Above suspicion’ actress.
The series is a sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, and is said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Secret Invasion was announced last year. It joins Marvel’s other MCU titles created for streaming giant Disney Plus, including latest running successes ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’
Emilia Clarke will join the huge star-studded cast lineup, including Samuel L Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
Moreover, ‘One Night in Miami’ star Ben-Adir will adopt the main villain in the series, whereas Jackson and Mendelsohn reprise their MCU’s characters of Nick Fury and the shape shifter alien, Skrull Talos, respectively.
Other than that, the Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman is also in negotiations to join the series. However, like Emilia Clarke, it is not yet clear what role Olivia will adopt.
