Iqrar ul Hassan explains why he slapped a man during interview

The host of TV show Sar-e-Aam, Iqrar ul Hassan became a trending topic after he slapped a man during one of his interviews, after which he was criticized by netizens for being intolerant. However, the TV anchor has provided an explanation for his actions which has led many people now appreciating his actions.

Iqrar ul Hassan has clarified that the man he slapped was responsible for sexually assaulting a minor 12-year-old girl and blackmailing her for several years.

The TV anchor showed censored clips from a video showing the minor girl being tied up, beaten and forced to strip naked. Later, the accused used the video to blackmail the girl for over 3 years.

Iqrar ul Hassan also talked to the girl, who explained how the accused used her for 3 years through blackmail on the basis of the recorded video.

He said that the blackmailer had apparently promised to return the video that he was using to blackmail the minor girl but ended up accusing her of stealing 1.5 lac rupees from his car.

“When we caught the blackmailer, he ended up accusing the minor girl for stealing 1.5 lakh rupees from his car as she was searching for a pen drive that contained her nude video.” said Iqrar ul Hassan in his video statement.

Iqrar ul Hassan said he got emotional under the circumstances and slapped the man. The TV anchor has apologized for his action and acknowledged that he was wrong to take matters into his own hands.

However, he did say that most people would have done the same if they were in his position.
