Netflix has announced that global megahit Korean drama, Squid Game, will be returning for a season 2 on the online streaming service. The streamer also revealed some new hints about what is to come in the dark Korean drama in the second season.

Squid Game became of the most watched Netflix series when it was released in September 2021. The Korean drama tells the story of cash-strapped contestants who play childhood games for a chance of life-changing sums of money, but the stakes are deadly with the contestants required to survive the physical and psychological twists of the games.
Furthermore, the writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk has teased some details about the season 2 of Squid Game in a letter released by Netflix. He said that characters Gi-hun and The Front Man will return. “The man in the suit with ddakji might be back.”
“You’ll also be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend,” he added. It is pertinent to mention that Young-hee is a motion-sensing animatronic doll featured in one of the games.
It bears mentioning that Netflix has not yet confirmed the release date for season 2 of Squid Game.
