A shocking incident has come to light involving Ayesha Jahanzaib, a private TV channel anchor, who has reportedly been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of her husband.
The accused, identified as Haris, was apprehended by Sarwar Road police following the incident, with a case officially registered against him.
In her official statement to the police, Ayesha Jahanzaib detailed the harrowing experience, alleging that her husband not only threatened her with a gun but also forcibly ejected her from their residence.
Promptly responding to the distressing development, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken cognizance of the matter. She has directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to furnish a comprehensive report on the incident.
Furthermore, CM Maryam Nawaz has instructed authorities to ensure that Ayesha Jahanzaib receives the best possible medical care for the injuries sustained during the ordeal.
