Energy Efficient 1 Ton Full DC Inverter ACs in Pakistan

As the summer heats up across the country, finding the right air conditioner can be challenging. If you’re considering buying a 1-ton Full DC Inverter AC, it’s important to understand the options available and which one is the best for your needs.

Since we know most of our visitors are from Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi, South Punjab, Interior Sindh, KP, and Balochistan, our suggestion is to go for Full DC Inverter with a T3 Compressor only.

Earlier we covered The Best Inverter AC Brands in Pakistan and also how you can Cut Your Electricity Bill by Half with the Haier AC UPS Device: A Personal Experience

Why Choose a T3 Compressor?

When looking at the technical specifications on the right side of the indoor unit, pay attention to the Climate Type. If it says T1, it won’t be effective in extremely hot weather, particularly in temperatures above 42°C.

T3 Compressor technology, on the other hand, is advanced and includes a turbo feature that helps the Inverter AC rapidly lower the temperature, making it more effective in controlling heat compared to T1 Compressors, which often fail in high heat.

Price Difference Between T1 and T3 Compressors

Yes, there is a price difference between T1 and T3 Compressor Inverter ACs. This difference is due to the advanced technology in T3 Compressors. You’re paying not only for a better Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) but also for faster cooling and lower energy consumption. T3 Compressor Technology is newer and more advanced, so it’s always a better choice.

Don’t Believe Everything You Hear

Electronics appliance stores are filled with various types of air conditioners, including non-Inverter, DC Inverter, and Full DC Inverter models. However, be cautious, as salespeople may push certain products based on the commission they receive. Always consider the compressor type and the specific needs of your environment before making a decision.

By understanding these key points, you can make a more informed choice and ensure you get an AC that effectively meets your needs during the hottest months.

  1. EER = Energy Efficiency Ratio

Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) is a crucial metric for air conditioners, including those used in Pakistan with a 220V power supply. EER measures the cooling efficiency of an air conditioner, calculated by dividing the cooling capacity (BTU/hour) by the power consumption (watts). A higher EER indicates a more efficient air conditioner, which means it can cool a space using less energy.

In Pakistan, where electricity costs are significant, choosing an AC with a high EER can lead to substantial energy savings and lower electricity bills. It’s important to compare EER ratings when purchasing an air conditioner to ensure you select the most energy-efficient model within your budget.

2. After sales support

Although the sticker on the indoor unit boasts about the product’s greatness, the true test comes when you need to use the warranty. Haier and TCL lead the way in providing prompt after-sales support. Other companies like General, Panasonic, Orient, and PEL also offer good support, but they can’t match the best.

However, Haier has a downside: their products are often outdated. For example, they still offer climate type T1 compressors, which are no longer suitable for Pakistan due to the increasing heat intensity every year.

What to look for in Air conditioners specification:

Here’s the simplest example, The Technical Specification mentioned on the right side of the Indoor unit gives you the exact what the company claims; in this case 1 Ton Full DC Inverter TCL 12T3-Pro company claims that this model offers T3 Compressor with Current 5.1A (Average) and the lowest to highest (1.0~7.5) means the unit will consume approximately 215 watts ~ 1600 watts while operating.

T3 compressor helps achieve the temperature easier, and once the room temperature is exactly as you programmed it will consume the lowest energy of 1.0 Amp or drop lowest to 215 Watts.
