2 shot dead and 1 injured in a recent attack in Karachi

KARACHI – Two People were shot dead and one injured in a new wave of terrorism in Karachi, Armed pillion riders opened fired near UP Mor  on Saleem 32 and Arshad 35 both died on spot. Injured, Azam was taken to the hospital.

All three victims sustained cricital bullet wounds two of them were pronounced dead on arrival at hospital, said Additional Police Surgeon Dr Saleem Shaikh at the hospital.

The third person, Azam, 30, was admitted for treatment. His condition is said to be serious.

Karachi Police Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Central Irfan Baloch claimed that the initial probe revealed that the incident occurred over the resistance of robbery.

SSP Baloch said that the deceased and injured originally belonged to Ahmed Pur Sharqia, Bahawalpur, and were presently residing in North Karachi.

“They did not belong to any religious or political group,” said the SSP said, quoting their families.

Police SHO said that the statement of the injured would be crucial to the case. He added that the wounded was not in a position to give a statement at this time.
