Mithi Police has arrested Abdul Salam Dawood in Sindh’s Tharparkar after he forced a Hindu man and worker, identified as Mukesh Bheel, of the Thar Coal Project to mock and insult his religion and deities. The viral video of the incident is being circulated on social media with netizens trending hashtag #ArrestAbdulSalamDawood as everyone demanded the authorities to arrest Abdul Salam Dawood for his actions against the Hindu man.
In the video, it can be seen that the suspect can be seen grabbing the Hindu man by the neck and telling him to hurl abuses at the Hindu religion and deities while forcing him to say “Allahu Akbar” as well as hurl abuses at his mother and sister.

The video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting the Sindh Government to take immediate action against Abdul Salam Dawood, who has been arrested and a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the suspect under Sections 295-A and 298 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

According to the SHO, Abdul Salam Dawood had stopped Mukesh Bheel on a main road near the Shrine of Chutthan Shah in Mithi and physically abused him while forcing him to mock his religion and deities.
Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said in a tweet that the suspect has been arrested from Khoski in Badin District.
Meanwhile, President Arif Alvi has also taken notice of the incident and directed the Sindh Police Chief and Interior Secretary to arrest the harasser.

In a follow up tweet, the President confirmed the arrest of Abdul Salam Dawood.
