Ahead of JI Party Dharna at D-Chowk Containers are being placed

Islamabad, July 26, 2024 – The Jamat e Islami (JI) party has called for a Dharna at D-Chowk to protest the recent surge in electricity bills and the rising inflation.

The demonstration is set to continue until the government addresses their demands.

Protest preparations are already underway, with containers piling up near 26 Number on the sides of the roads. Protestors from Islamabad and Rawalpindi will converge from key entry points and march towards D-Chowk.

Expect heavy traffic on the roads leading to D-Chowk, especially after Friday prayers when the protestors will gather in large numbers.

Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
