CDA anti encroachment operation continue on 3rd day

During the 3rd day of operation, several constructions, constructed illegally or in violation of CDA Building Regulations were demolished.

Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s massive operation against the encroachments and illegal construction on the right of way of Kashmir Highway remained continue on the third day 10th september. During the 3rd day of the operation several encroachments, buildings and constructions in violation of CDA Building regulations were demolished. During this operation several acres land retrieved.

Member Estate, CDA Khushal Khan, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, SSP Operations Najeeb Bagvi, Director Enforcement Faheem Badshah, Director Building Control Section, Director MPO, officers of ICT Administration including Assistant Commissioners, officers of Islamabad Police and officers of concerned formations of CDA were present on this occasion. The operation was participated by more than around 350 officials of Enforcement and other concerned formations while heavy contingent of Islamabad police, rangers and Counter Terrorism Force officials. Heavy machinery of MPO and Environment Directorate and other formations were also utilized during the operation.

During the 3rd day of operation, several constructions, constructed illegally or in violation of CDA Building Regulations were demolished. The constructions which were demolished on the third day of the operation include 50 shops, 12 residential houses, 03 markets, 02 three storey plazas and one (01) service station. During the operation, which is continued from three (03) days, against the encroachments on the right of way or illegal constructions in violations of CDA’s Zoning Regulations around 52 constructions were demolished and several kanals of State land was retrieved. It is pertinent to mention here that the houses which were demolished on the 3rd day of operation, were voluntarily vacated by the illegal occupants.

It is pertinent to mention here that these encroachments were established on the right of way of Kashmir Highway or constructed against the building regulations. CDA served notices several times to these illegal occupants / violators to remove these encroachments voluntarily but they did not bother to remove these encroachments failing in doing so operation was launched.

    Good to hear about the demolishing of illegal enchrochments across the islamabad.Government should pay more attention towards the pending development projects in sector E12 in Islamabad , especially allottees of this sector are hoping good upcoming news from the present government.
