The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 47,979 with 2,203 new cases were reported on Wednesday along with 31 more fatalities bringing the country’s death toll to 1,017.
Sindh Health and Population Welfare Department reported 17 more fatalities in their daily coronavirus update bringing the provincial death toll to 316.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported six more fatalities in their daily update for coronavirus. This brings the provincial death toll to 351.
Punjab reported seven more fatalities according to the daily coronavirus update provided by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). This brings the provincial death toll to 297.
Islamabad reported one more death from the coronavirus according to the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad. This brings the total number of fatalities in the capital territory to 10.
Balochistan did not have any new deaths reported in the province according to the Daily Situation Report by the Health Department of Balochistan. However, several new cases were reported in the province.
Similarly, Gilgit Baltistan did not report any new deaths according to the the Daily Situation Report provided by the GB Health Department. However, a few more coronavirus cases were reported in the region.
