Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [28 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 206,242 while the country’s death toll has reached 4,162 across the country . There were 3,500 more cases reported on Sunday (28 June 2020) along with 44 more fatalities.

Sindh reported 26 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,269 while total cases in Sindh have reached 80,446.

KARACHI (June 28): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that 2179 patients of #coronavirus were detected after testing 9244 samples while 26 more patients lost their lives lifting the death toll to 1269.

In a statement, @MuradAliShahPPP said that 9244 tests were conducted which diagnosed 2179 more cases that constituted 23.5 percent detection rate. He added that so far 435393 tests have been conducted which detected 80446 patients constituting 18.4 percent detection ratio.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported eight more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 922 while total cases in the province have reached 25,778 according to their daily COVID-19 update.

Punjab reported eight more fatalities according to the Primary Healthcare Department Punjab. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,681 while number of cases have reached 74,778 in their daily coronavirus update.

Balochistan reported two new fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 116 while the probable death toll has remains 78. The number of cases in the province have reached 10,376 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported no new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city remains 122 while number of cases have reached 12,395. Here is the their daily report.

Gilgit Baltistan reported no new fatalities according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the GB Health Department. This keeps the regional death toll at 24 while number of cases have reached 1,442.

No new fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir keeping the death toll at 28 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 1,027 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
