The daily coronavirus update from the Sindh Health and Population Welfare Department reported four more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 180.

182 new cases (7 from Torkham quarantine center) were confirmed taking the total cases to 4,509. 13 new deaths were confirmed (7 in Peshawar, 1 each in Charsadda, Khyber, Mardan, Swat, Malakand, Abbottabad) taking the total to 234. 53 new patients recovered taking tally to 1,086. pic.twitter.com/Yw0Hm2bHAm

Now it’s time to discuss the total of Punjab and what’s been going on with it. Now, the total number of fatalities in the province is being reported at 192 by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and we’ve included this in our report.

However, the Health Department of Punjab reports the death toll at 191 which is strange as PDMA is working with the Health Department during the crisis and they’re number never match up.

PDMA Report:

11,093 individuals have been infected with #Covid_19 in Punjab till date. 622 new cases have been detected in last 24 hours while 4,944 tests have been performed. 192 lives have been lost while 4,240 people have recovered. The problem is that PDMA was reporting much higher numbers two days ago when it reached a total death toll of 194 in Punjab according to the report below.

10,033 people have been infected with #Covid_19 in Punjab till date. 956 new cases of #coronavirus have been detected in last 24 hours, while 19 more people have lost their lives bringing the total number of fatalities to 194. 5,199 tests have been carried out in 24 hrs #StayHome pic.twitter.com/wWs2olkV4V

However, the next day PDMA reported eight more fatalities while the total death toll dropped to 191 as can be seen in their report below.

10,471 individuals have been infected with #Corvid19 in Punjab till now. 438 new cases have been detected in the province in 24 hrs while 4,192 tests have been carried out. 8 more lives have been lost bringing the total number of fatalities to 191 in the #CoronavirusOutbreak pic.twitter.com/laVZ6HB5tB

Also, the Government has made the COVID-19 site for updates on cases however, they don’t know how to operate the site as it does not provide timely updates and sometimes isn’t updated for an entire day. This specific source for the latest figures is always outdated.
