Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [31 May 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 72,285 while the country’s death toll has reached 1,542. There were 3,032 more cases reported on Sunday (31 May 2020) along with 63 fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 16 more fatalities according to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. There were also 885 new cases reported on Sunday bringing the provincial death toll to 16 and number of confirmed cases to 28,245.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 20 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 473 according to their daily update issued for coronavirus.

Punjab reported 22 more fatalities according to the daily coronavirus update issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). This brings the provincial death toll to 497.

Balochistan reported one more confirmed fatality bringing the provincial confirmed death toll to 47 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Command and Operation Center (BCOC). According to the report, the probably deaths have also been increased by 2 bringing the total to 36.

Islamabad reported the highest rise in cases as well as four more fatalities according to the report issued by the District Health Office Islamabad. This brings the death toll for the capital to 27.

Gilgit Baltistan did not report any new fatalities in the region however, several new cases were reported according to the Daily Situation report issued by the GB Health Department.

The list shows country’s worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic based on the number of cases. Most European countries have gotten a control on the situation as daily numbers being reported have improved significantly.

Even the United States has shown significant improvement in the coronavirus cases being reported as well as deaths.

However, India is now climbing up the list wioth more and more cases and deaths being reported in the country and ranks at number 7 when it comes to number of coronavirus cases.
