Countrywide Petrol Pump Strike on November 25

The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Dealers Association (APPPDA) has announced a Petrol Pump Strike in Pakistan on 25 November 2021 as the Government has failed to fulfil their promise to increase the dealer’s margin by 6%.

The announcement was made by APPPDA General Secretary Nauman Butt in a video statement saying that Petrol will be not supplied to Pumps across the country from 6AM on 25 November 2021, including Government-Run Petrol Pumps (PSO Stations). However, there will be an exception to ambulances and Rescue 1122 vehicles.

He added that the Petrol Pump Strike will continue until the government fulfils its promise to increase their profit margin. It bears mentioning that the government has promised to fulfill their demands by 17 November 2021.

According to the details, the Petrol Pump Strike will affect several cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K).

It is pertinent to mention that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has said that there won’t be any change in the Petrol Price in Pakistan despite the drop in global prices. Furthermore, the Petroleum Levy by Rs. 4 every month under an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
