Deputy Commissioner Panjgur Zakir Baloch killed and Municipal Committee Chairman Abdul Malik Baloch injured when Unidentified assailants targeted their vehicle, resulting in fatal consequences for Zakir Baloch and injuries for Abdul Malik Baloch.

Zakir Baloch, the younger brother of former provincial minister and current Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Mir Saleh Rehmat Baloch, was a prominent figure in Balochistan’s administrative landscape. His death has sent shockwaves through the community, and his family is left grappling with this profound loss.

In response to this grievous event, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has strongly condemned the killing. He extended his condolences to the grieving family and has called for immediate action against those responsible. The Chief Minister has directed the relevant authorities to ensure that the perpetrators are swiftly apprehended.

The violence in Quetta continued with another serious incident in the Satellite Town area of Challabahar. A remote-controlled bomb blast injured seven individuals. The attack has heightened concerns about the security situation in the region.

Adding to the turmoil, a hand grenade was thrown at a government girls’ school in the Sariab Mill Colony area. Fortunately, the explosion did not result in any casualties, but the police responded promptly by cordoning off the area to investigate and secure it.

In a span of just 24 hours, Quetta has witnessed four separate terrorist incidents, resulting in injuries to 13 government officials. The frequency and severity of these attacks have prompted a strong reaction from the provincial government.

The Balochistan provincial government has denounced these acts of terrorism and vowed to enhance security measures to protect civilians and officials alike. The series of attacks underscores the urgent need for effective counterterrorism strategies and support for the affected communities.
