Weather: Karachi to receive fourth spell of monsoon from today

LAHORE: Heavy monsoon rain is expected in upper and central parts of Pakistan especially in Punjab according to a notification issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

Heavy monsoon rain expected in parts of Pakistan.

According to the notification moderate monsoon spells with heavy rain are expected in upper and central Punjab from Friday night which will get stronger on Saturday.

Heavy monsoon rain and wind thunder showers are expected in Punjab from Friday till Tuesday during which the current hot weather will subside based on the notification.

Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad are expected to have high amounts of rain during this period.

The department has also issued a flash flood warning for areas near nullah / streams in Punjab and urban flooding in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Lahore during this time.

PDMA requests concerned departments to take precautionary measures to avoid damage and loss of loss due to the bad weather conditions expected.
