In another incident of sexual abuse, a student of Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) in Islamabad was gang-raped by four students of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on Friday.
The victim of sexual abuse has come forward and released a video statement regarding the ordeal while two students of IIUI have been suspended by the university administration for their involvement in this heinous crime.
According to the video statement, the QAU student said that he was brought to the hostel by three people (students of IIUI) who tricked and took him to room 175 where he was made unconscious and gang-raped by 3 or 4 people which resulted in clinical complications.
The rapists have been identified as Ibrahim Khan, who is the brother of clerk-turned-resident house tutor (RHT) Yousaf Khan while the other accused has been identified as Mehmood Ashraf.
It has also been revealed that Yousaf Khan had been posted as superintendent/RHT based on his contacts in the administration as the post is meant for senior teaching faculty member, who is responsible for supervision and guidance of students.
The alleged rapists (IIUI students) were illegally staying in the room where they gang-raped the QAU Student.
Furthermore, the victim revealed that the university administration first tried to save the institution by dismissing the case after an internal investigation. However, the IIUI Rector Masson Yasinzai told local media that the student does not want to come forward to file a First Information Report (FIR).
