NCOC Orders Mask Wearing Due to Increase in COVID-19 Cases

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has ordered the citizens to wear masks while traveling as COVID-19 cases are on the rise once again in Pakistan. According to the details, there has been a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in some cities across the country.

“After a slight change in COVID-19 cases in some cities, the NCOC has recommended mask-wearing on all domestic flights, railways, and public transport within the country is mandatory.” said a Tweet from the National Institute of Health, Pakistan. “So, all citizens are requested to wear a face mask during travel.”

The number of COVID-19 cases have been on the rise for the past couple of days. According to the COVID-19 statistics provided by the National Institute of Health, there were 382 COVID-19 cases detected in the last 24 hours out of 13,412 tests performed across Pakistan, which means a positivity ratio of 2.85 percent.
