LAHORE – Police on Thursday took into custody Sikandar Jatoi, father of Shahrukh Jatoi, from the Supreme Court after he appeared for the hearing of Shahzeb murder case, a private TV channel reported.
Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry during the hearing said that no one in the country is above the law and that Sikandar Jatoi should hand himself over to the police and assist the investigation.
The chief justice had taken a suo motu notice of the case when Shahzeb Khan, 20, was murdered in Defense Housing Society Karachi on Dec 25.
Concerned authorities are coordinating with UAE government to arrest Shahrukh Jatoi to bring him back to Pakistan.
Shahrukh is living in a mansion owned by a Dubai-based businessman who is likely Sikandar Jatoi’s business partner.
