JUI-F protesters block Highways: NHA issues Travel Advisory

GHOTKI: Hundreds of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) protesters have blocked the National Highway (N5) at Ghotki Toll Plaza causing a severe traffic jam.

On Thursday, JUI-F workers tried to block the 26 Number Chungi in Islamabad which connects Peshawar with Rawalpindi and the rest of the country, Islamabad Police rapidly responded and cleared the G.T Road.

However, In Karachi Hub chowki is blocked by JUI-F workers since yesterday, also there are reports of blockage in Quetta Chaman road.

National Highway Authority (NHA) and Motorway Police updated last night about the protesters have blocked the National Highway (N5) at Ghotki, Hub River and Balochistan.

JUI-F executed Plan B after concluding Islamabad Dharna and spreading the protests country-wide.

All road users are advised to avoid unnecessary traveling on Highway due to traffic blockade and use alternate routes in case of an emergency.
