Five people have been arrested for the abduction, rape and murder of seven-year-old Momina Larik from Khairpur, the police said on Tuesday.
According to the details, a case has been registered against three of suspects on the complaint of the child’s father, however, there identified have not been revealed by police.
The police recovered the body of seven-year-old Momina Larik and shifted it to the Pir Jo Goth Taluka headquarters (THQ) hospital and the initial post-mortem report confirmed that the minor girl was strangled to death after she was raped.
Seven-year-old Momina Larik was abducted from Pir Jo Goth village in Khairpur and her body was discovered two days later from a banana orchard in Hadal Shah village, according to a local media outlet.
A video of the victim’s father went viral on social media, crying over the loss of this little girl to such a inhumane act and at an extremely tender age.
The incident sparked anger among locals, who protested the heinous crime demanding that the rapists and murderers be arrested and severely punished for this gruesome crime.
Social media also started trending with hashtag #JusticeForMominaLarik as people demanded justice for Momina Larik and expressed their grief over the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, others flooded the online social media platform demanding authorities to take strict action against this gruesome crime.
