The City Traffic Police (CTP) Lahore has issued a detailed Traffic Plan for the second leg of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 8) matches scheduled to start in Lahore from 26th February 2023.
In order to maintain smooth flow of traffic, the City Traffic Police (CTP) Lahore has issued a detailed Traffic Plan for cricket spectators for the Pakistan Super League (PSL 8) matches to be held in Lahore.
Parking
According to the traffic plan, the spectators coming to the stadium on their own vehicles can park their cars at Government College Gulberg (entry Ferozepur Road and Center Point National Park), Liberty Parking (entry Hussain Chowk and Liberty Roundabout), LDA Plaza and Sun Fort Hotel (entry Hussain Chowk, Gulberg Center from Left Side, Gulberg Road, Nestle Chowk, and Hijaz Hospital.
Lahore Traffic Plan for PSL 8
Furthermore, the Lahore Traffic Plan for the PSL 2023 matches stated that spectators coming from Mall Road, Jail Road, Canal Road can use Ferozepur Road and use the left gate at Government College for Boys before Kalma Chowk Flyover to park their vehicles.
The spectators coming from Thokar Niaz Baig can use Cricket Campus Flyover, Barkat Market, Kalma Chowk Underpass towards Center Points and park their cars at Government College for Boys.
Meanwhile, the spectators coming from Mozang, Ichra, Chungi Amar Sidhu, Kasur, and Ferozepur Road can park their cars at Gulberg College for Boys (Ferozepur Road Gate).
The spectators coming from Cantt, Defence (DHA), Cavalry can use Firdous Market towards Hussain Chowk to park their cars at Liberty Parking and Sun Fort Hotel. Meanwhile, they can also move towards Gulberg College and park their vehicles over there.
Pedestrians, who are coming to spectate the match, can entry from FIFA Gate, Liberty or Government College Gulberg for Boys, the Lahore Traffic Plan added.
Moreover, the Main Ferozepur Road, Jail Road, Canal Road, Main Boulevard Road, and Gulberg will remain open for traffic during the PSL 8 matches.
As for playing team’s commute from and to the stadium and their hotel, a specific road will be used and it will remain closed for the minimum possible duration as to avoid any inconvenience to commuters.
The management is also providing a shuttle service for the elderly and differently-abled spectators from Gulberg College to the stadium.
