The Lahore Traffic Police have finalized the traffic arrangements for the Sada Hussain procession on July 24 and 25, 2024.
Traffic Plan:
- July 24 and 25: Shahdara to Begum Kot Chowk will be closed for general traffic in both directions.
- Traffic from Sheikhupura and Sharaqpur Sharif can use Dosako Chowk, Al-Saeed Chowk, Sagian Chowk, and Bund Road, Ammara Athar.
- Traffic from Lahore via Shahdara Chowk to Sheikhupura can use Niazi Shaheed Chowk, Ring Road Sagian.
- Traffic on GT Road Lahore to Gujranwala will continue as usual, Ammara Athar.
Temporary Emergency Diversions:
- In case of an emergency or increased traffic load, traffic coming to Lahore on GT Road will be diverted from Kala Shah Kaku Interchange to Motorway, Eastern Bypass.
- In case of increased load at Shahdara Chowk, all traffic will be diverted from Niazi Shaheed Chowk to Ring Road, Sagian.
- Slow-moving traffic, donkey carts, and horse carts from Shahdara Chowk to Begum Kot Chowk will be diverted to Farrukhabad, Baradari Road.
