LESCO Bans Use of ACs in Offices

The Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) Chairman has banned use of air conditioners (ACs) in the company’s offices in order to save costs.

The development comes following the austerity measures announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in order to cut unnecessary costs.

According to details, the LESCO chief has also banned the purchase of big vehicles and officials have been directed to use their personal vehicles, while office vehicles will be used only for official work.

It is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a number of measures to promote austerity and formed a committee to oversee the implementation of the decisions.
