Local Holiday Announced in Karachi Today

A local holiday has been declared in Karachi on June 29 to observe the Urs of Abdullah Shah Ghazi. This year marks the 1,294th Urs of the well-known Sufi saint Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi.

The celebration at the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi will include a Qawwali session and other prayers after the Isha prayers.

Due to the Urs, Karachi traffic police have announced a special traffic plan. The road under the flyover in front of the shrine will be closed on both sides until July 22. This is to manage traffic during the 1,294th annual Urs of the revered saint.
