Motorway Police Reduces Speed Limit on Several Motorways

The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has reduced the speed limit on some parts of several different motorways due to upcoming fog season in winter.

According to the details, the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) stated that in order to make travel on motorways safe and avoid any unwanted accidents, they have decided to amend the speed limit on certain sections of different motorways.

The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) has reduced the speed limit several motorways from 120 km/h to 100 km/h for Light Transport Vehicles (LTV), while it has been reduced from 110 km/h to 80 km/h for Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTV) aka Commercial Trucks.

According to the details, the speed limit has been reduced to 100 km/h for LTVs and 80 km/h for HTVs from Thokar Niaz Baig to Ravi Toll Plaza of the Lahore to Islamabad Motorway M-2. Meanwhile, the same speed limit will be applied on Pindi Bhattian to Multan Motorway M-4.

Likewise, the amendment has also applies for the Lahore to Sialkot Motorway M-11 from Lahore to Sambrial and Hekla to Yarik on the Hekla to Dera Ismail Khan Motorway M-14. Furthermore, the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) also urged the public to follow traffic laws to stay safe.
