JUI leader Mufti Aziz ur Rehman and his sons have been arrested by Lahore Police in Mianwali after the leaked viral video of the religious cleric went viral showing him sexually abusing his student at a Lahore based seminary.
In the leaked viral video, Mufti Aziz ur Rehman was seen sitting down while one of his student was seen on top of him and thrusting in a sexual manner. The incident has been the trending topic on social media and netizens started demanding immediate action against the religious cleric.
A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against Mufti Aziz, his sons and two unidentified individuals on the complaint of the student (victim).
According to the student in a video statement, Mufti Aziz sexually abused him while his sons started blackmailing and threatening to kill him after the leaked video went viral on social media. “It is better I commit suicide rather than living in fear of being killed.” said the victim in his video statement.

Mufti Aziz ur Rehman also released a statement denying his involvement in the incident and claimed the leaked viral video was fake and it was an attempt to malign his reputation. Furthermore, he accused the victim of drugging him in order to make the video to use against him.
First Information Report
The FIR was registered against Mufti Aziz ur Rehman, his sons Altaf ur Rehman, Atiq ur Rehman and Latif ur Rehman along with another person named Abdullah and two unidentified persons, who threatened to kill the student for exposing the religious cleric.
Furthermore, the FIR was lodged on the basis of Section 377 and Section 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
Mufti Aziz ur Rehman Arrested
Mufti Aziz ur Rehman has been arrested by Lahore Police along with his sons for their involvement in the sexual abuse case from Mianwali in Lahore.
According to details, the religious cleric was arrested from JUI party’s office where he had fled after the FIR was lodged against him and Lahore Police began their search for the culprit.
