ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the National Assembly said that there was no confusion in the Government’s response towards the coronavirus pandemic. He said if there was any government which was not confused about its response to the coronavirus pandemic, it was Pakistan’s.
According to a Prime Minister similar the Government has made tough decisions with a lot of backlash not just from the opposition but from within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party as well.
Prime Minister Imran Khan says that there were even members of his own cabinet who were against easing of lockdown and wanted a severe lockdown to be placed across the country.

However, the Government had regular meetings, took decisions accordingly and there was no confusion about how to respond to the coronavirus pandemic.
Although, PM Khan mentioned that a the country was still going through a difficult time and the next month is crucial if we want to get through the coronavirus pandemic. He urged the people to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have been issued by the government.
He mentioned how there were many sitting in the National Assembly who have recovered from the coronavirus but only because they were healthy pointing out that the virus could be deadly towards those with weakness and illnesses. He emphasized how important it was to keep these people safe including our elderly.
PM Khan said that if people were to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and take all precautions then the country’s facilities are enough to cope with the virus.
According to the premier, if we get past the coming month without escalating numbers, the worst would finally be over.
