The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has put out a serious weather warning for heavy monsoon activity starting on June 25, 2025.

The PMD says that moist currents from the Arabian Sea are likely to get stronger. A strong wave from the west will also move into the upper parts of the country on June 25 and become more noticeable by June 26.

This interaction of weather systems will likely cause heavy rains, thunderstorms, and possible flooding in cities in many places.

There will be a lot of rain in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan from June 24 to July 2.

It is also likely that Sindh and Balochistan will get a lot of rain between June 26 and June 29. The advisory also says that there could be flash floods in the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, especially from June 26 to 28.

People have told the government to do things to stop flooding and landslides from happening. Farmers and tourists have also been told to keep an eye on the latest weather reports.
