Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shireen Mazari has been arrested after a join action of the Anti-Corruption Punjab and Islamabad Police. According to the details, ex-Federal Minister was arrested from outside her home in Islamabad.
The news was confirmed by PTI leader Iftikhar Durrani on Twitter. “Dr @ShireenMazari has been picked up outside her house a while ago, everyone must reach Police Station Kohsar.” he wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad Police issued a statement regarding the matter and said that Shireen Mazari was arrested in a property case registered in DG Khan. The former minister has been shifted to DG Khan from Islamabad Kohsar Police Station.
Iman Zainab Mazari, daughter of Shireen Mazari, has also taken to the online social media platform claiming that her mother was beaten by male police officers and taken away. Imaan claims she was only told by police officers that Anti-Corruption Wing Lahore has taken the action.

A video has been released by the police showing that Shireen Mazari was arrested by women officers, which counters the claims of her daughter saying that her mother was taken by male officers.
