Rashid Godil joins PTI

BANI GALA : Senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) Rashid Godil announced his joining the Pakistan Tehreeek-e-Insaf (PTI) a while back.

Godil made the announcement after meeting PTI chief Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence in the capital. Party leaders, including Jahangir Tareen and Mahmoodur Rasheed, were also present during the meeting.

Welcoming Godil to the party fold, the PTI chairman said he desired to bring about the change in the port city which it truly needed.

The country’s economy suffered a lot owing to law and order situation of the city in the past, he added.

Mr. Khan expressed optimism that his party will emerge as the largest party of the city after the 2018 polls.

He resolved to do what he couldn’t do in the past for the metropolis after coming to power.

In his remarks, Rashid Godil said the PTI understands the situation of the city. “Karachi is the engine of Pakistan. We have to bring Karachi back on the path to progress.”

He said Pakistan’s prosperity is linked with the prosperity of the city.

Godil said his party will decide from where he will contest coming general elections.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
