At least three women and four children have been allegedly raped in Kasur District during the last two days according to an article published by Dawn News.
According to the publication, a woman was gang-raped in Kasur at gunpoint by seven men and this was the second time the same suspects sexually abused the female according to her husband who filed a First Information Report (FIR).
According to the husband, the suspects have locked them out of their home and are forcing his family to leave the village. The police have started investigation into the incident but no arrests have been made yet.
In another case, a 15-year-old girl was raped in Noorpur Jattan village and a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Chunian police station and the suspect has been taken into custody.
Another bizarre incident involved the rape of a three-year-old boy by a 12-year-old and an FIR has been registered by the victim’s father at the Kot Radha Kishan police station while the juvenile suspect has been arrested.
However, the report says that the village council wanted the victim’s father to reconcile the matter without taking legal action but the offer was refused.
An incident took place in Bonga Balochan village involving a four-year-old boy who was raped by a man in the fields after he lured the child over there. However, the suspect has been arrested by police.
A 13-year-old boy was raped by his neighbor at Hameed Town and a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at City Pattoki Police Station against the suspect who was later arrested.
There was also a case of attempted rate where a suspect tried to sexually abuse his sister in law but fled the scene after she screamed out for help. The victim registered an FIR and the accused has been arrested.
Kasur has been on the radar ever since 2018 when Zainab Ansari, a six-year-old was raped and her the little girl’s body was found in trash five days after she went missing.
