The Sialkot – Lahore Motorway (M11) is all set to be inaugurated tomorrow on 18 March 2020 and this motorway will reduce the travel time between the two cities to under 50 minutes.
The total cost of the Sialkot – Lahore Motorway project is Rs. 44 billion and this is a four lane 91.5 KM motorway consisting of 9 interchanges, 8 flyovers, 20 bridges and 18 under passes.
Earlier the travel time between Sialkot and Lahore was almost 3 hours as the road passes along different cities and is quite crowded through the GT Road however that will now be reduced to under 50 minutes because of the M11 project.
The M11 motorway will also connect to other cities along the way including Kamonke, Daska, Sambrialm and more through its 9 interchanges.
The M11 also connects to the Lahore – Islamabad motorway (M2) at the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange.
