Sindh Govt bans pillion riding in all major cities

KARACHI: The Government of Sindh issued a notification imposing a ban on pillion riding in Karachi and other cities of Sindh Province on Tuesday.

The notification issued by Sindh Government Home Department notifies that the pillion riding ban on 6th November (8th Rabi Ul Awal) on the event of Chup Tazia, to prudent to take proactive safeguards from security threats.

Pillion Riding Ban in the following cities

  • Karachi
  • Hyderabad
  • Larkana
  • Sukkur
  • Dadu
  • Nawabshah Jamshoro
  • Nushero Feroz
  • Khairpur
  • Jacobabad

However, Children below 12, senior citizens, Disabled and Journalists will be allowed.
