KARACHI : Blast Near Catonment station Karachi.

At least five persons were killed while more than 40 others, including women and children, were injured when a loud explosion ripped apart a bus parked outside the gates of Karachi Cantonment Station here.

As per details, the large blast completely ripped opened the roof of the bus, which caught fire following the explosion.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus was scheduled to depart for Sargodha.

“There are reports of five people were killed in the blast. The injured have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital,” said Ahmed Chinoy, the head of the Citizen Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).

After the incident, police and rescue teams reached on the site. The injured and bodies were shifted to near-by hospital. Some of the injured were stated to be in critical condition. Police cordoned off the area while further investigations into the incident have been started.
