ISLAMABAD: The driver cannot smoke while driving in the Federal Capital city of Islamabad, for now ITP is conducting a new awareness campaign through social media.
Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has introduced new traffic regulation in Islamabad complying with the International Standards of traffic rules and violations to facilitate traffic, ease congestion and control violations in the capital city.

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has taken multiple steps to facilitate traffic, ease congestion and control violations. ITP has already started implementing the new policy and those found violating these are being fined.
1 – Smoking while driving is banned.
2 – Seat belt is compulsory for a driver and front-seat passenger.
3 – It is mandatory for the driver to have their driving license with them while driving.
4 – Maximum of three violations will result in the driving license to be suspended.
Islamabad Traffic Police’s awareness campaign will continue on till September 30th, 2019 after which ITP will fined the driver.
ITP has not mentioned how long the driving license will be suspended.
