SPAIN: Storm Gloria claimed at least four lives. A fifty-four-year-old homeless woman was found frozen to death in Spanish Park.
The woman died from hypothermia, she was found in the Costa Blanca resort of Gandia this morning.

According to locals the unnamed woman and her husband had refused shelter from local social services ahead of the storm. They had just accepted food and blankets.

Four Killed
- Forty-Three-year-old engineer Misael Garcia died while fitting snow chains on his car tyres on Sunday. He was from the northern city of Oviedo. His wife and two children aged 4 and 9 were in the car and witnessed the tragedy.
- A sixty-three-year-old man also died. He was hit by tiles from the roof. The incident happened in the village of Pedro Bernardo near the cathedral city of Avila.
- One man was killed in a car accident in the Asturias region.
- The homeless woman froze to death in Spanish Park.
The worst-hit regions on Monday were Valencia and Balearic. They experienced heavy flooding and strong winds.

More than 30 provinces are on a high alert.
Spanish forecaster reported winds up to 115km/h and huge waves on the Mediterranean coast.
The Catalan Government has temporarily banned unnecessary outdoor activities in Girona and Barcelona.
Schools and public services were suspended on Monday as wind speed reached 115km/h
Alicante Airport was also shut down. Over 200 flights have been disrupted.
