However, he is optimistic of returning to the franchise real soon.
Pakistan Super League PSL season 6, which was halted earlier this year, resumed from 9th June, in Abu Dhabi. Hence, all the international players from different countries also returned to their respective franchises.
The cricket battle that had recommenced with Lahore Qalandar vs. Islamabad United was followed with Quetta Gladiators vs. Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday 12th June 2021. And, after an intense competition, Zalmi had defeated the purple forces with 61 runs.
During the match, while trying to save a boundary, South African batsman Faf du Plessis had accidently collided with teammate Muhammad Hasnain, as the two leaped in together. Hence, the accident had resulted in the 36 years old, hurting his head and neck, as he laid flat on the ground that instant.
The Gladiators physio had treated Faf du Plessies, before he got up and was taken to hospital. Meanwhile, opener Saim Ayub replaced du Plessis as a concussion substitute.
However, at recent times, Faf du Plessis has revealed that the player had caught concussion and was suffering with memory loss symptoms. Yet, he is confident of recovering soon.
Taking it to his twitter, du Plessis tweeted,
“Thank you everyone for all the messages of support,” du Plessis tweeted on Sunday.
“I’m back at the hotel recovering. Have concussion with some memory loss but I will be fine. Hopefully be back on the field soon.”
