Pakistan Super League Seventh Edition (PSL 7 2022) – Eliminator 1 (Match 32) – Peshawar Zalmi vs Islamabad United (PZ vs IU) at Lahore Qaddafi Stadium – Islamabad United won by 5 wickets with 3 balls remaining.

Peshawar Zalmi elected to bat first and successfully set a reasonable target of 170 runs for the Islamabad United to win the match in the second innings.

Peshawar Zalmi had a rough start with Mohammad Haris and Yasir Khan being dismissed too soon, but Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik managed 58 and 55 runs off 39 and 43 balls, respectively. Hussain Talat also added 28 runs off 15 balls to the total and allowed Peshawar Zalmi to set a target of 170 runs to win the game.

Islamabad United had some rough patches during their innings, especially with the loss of Will Jacks, but Alex Hales made up for it by scoring 62 runs off 49 balls. Shadab Khan and Azam Khan both managed 22 and 28 runs, while it was Faheem Ashraf and Liam Dawson, who guided the team to victory with 19 and 10 runs, respectively.

Islamabad United won by 5 wickets with 3 balls balls remaining and they will face Lahore Qalandars in the Eliminator 2 being held tomorrow. The winner of tomorrow’s Eliminator 2 will face off with Multan Sultans in the Final.
